It is harder than silver and gold, it will not rust, tarnish or fade, and it is low in nickel so it is kind to skin. We use it because it is the first metal we can put in a ring that a tradie can wear all week.

You mostly do not have to. Surf in it, shower in it, train in it, rinse it in fresh water now and then. Keep it away from bleach and harsh chemicals. If your worksite says no rings on the job, that rule applies to steel too. Off for the task, back on after.
